Andy Cohen Reveals If He's on Dating Apps After Shutting Down John Mayer Rumors: "I Will Say..."
The WWHL host admitted why he prefers "direct" people when online dating.
Andy Cohen is on a mission to find his Mr. Right even as shuts down speculation about his love life.
Earlier in the year, Andy gave an update about his dating life on the January 25 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, saying, "I'm single and ready to mingle." The father of two has also previously confirmed that he occasionally spends time "looking" for love on dating apps but hasn't had much luck (clip above).
More recently, Andy opened up about his dating status again by revealing what it takes to get his attention when messaging him online.

While discussing “basic tenets” in a relationship with The Millionaire Matchmaker’s Patti Stanger, Andy vocalized that he prefers to talk to guys who are upfront about their dating intentions.
“I will say when I go around Hinge and all these dating apps I’m on and then I flake out and put it down,” he said, adding, “I will say I usually respond to people who are very direct about what they want.”

Patti then followed up that Andy’s zodiac sign plays a part in how he dates, as she replied: “That’s the Gemini in you though.”
Andy Cohen and John Mayer address dating rumors
Andy's love life has recently made headlines when he responded to "speculation" about his friendship with John Mayer, specifically that the two are dating. However, the WWHL host made it clear that he is solely friends with the singer.
“I honestly love John Mayer, and he loves me. But because we are so affectionate to each other, people don’t know what box to put that in,” Andy told The Hollywood Reporter. “They assume we are sleeping with each other, which we are most definitely not."
A day later, John, took it upon himself to address the rumors surrounding him and Andy’s tight-knit connection in his own statement.
He wrote, in part: “I think that to suggest that people are dubious of a friendship like mine and Andy’s is to undermine the public’s ability to accept and understand diversity in all facets of culture, be it in art or in real life.”
John concluded his letter: “Reinforcing the idea that any gay/straight relationship needs qualification that it’s not sexual devoids everyone involved of their dignity.”
After John released his statement, Andy later responded on his Daddy Diaries Podcast on May 17: “This should now put an end to anyone asking us, ‘What’s the deal with you two? Explain it.'"
