After cameras stopped rolling on the virtual Shahs of Sunset Season 8 reunion, Reza Farahan and Mercedes "MJ" Javid addressed their issues and moved toward resolution in a FaceTime call four weeks after the filming. That conversation was featured in Part 2 of the reunion, which aired on July 26.

"I wanted to call you because one thing I do take away from the reunion is that I do care about you and I never ever, ever, ever, ever want to see you ever be hurt," MJ told Reza.

In response, Reza noted, "I want to just say this: I've learned that I don't communicate with you. I don't tell you that I feel some sort of way about a, b, c, d and e — and I want you to get it anyway. I want you to just telepathically understand, and then when you don't, I get upset with you. And I get resentful and then the resentment grows... like a wildfire."

The conversation was definitely positive with both Reza and MJ acknowledging their differences. MJ said, "I'm sorry that I ever I made you feel like I was not there to 100 percent have your back."

And it was clear there is love between them. "Aside from my parents, my husband, my son, you have to know that you're one of the most important relationships in my life," MJ noted later on.

Reza recalled that pair had been in the process of making plans, including how they would celebrate MJ's baby, Shams, when their drama came to the surface. With tears in his eyes, Reza added, "I'm really sorry I f--ked up. You don't think I want to take this year back?"

MJ responded, "I do want to believe in my heart that we can accept our differences, but work through them. And I just don't want to give up on something that seems way more important than this horrifying past year ... I want to know if you are willing, from the bottom of you heart, to make the effort to salvage this friendship."

From there, they seemed to come to an understanding to try and repair their relationship, even if it may take some work.

"I don't want to act like none of this happened," Reza said. " I want something new, something adult, something fresh and clean and pure, where it feels authentic and real and good to both of us. I have zero space in my soul, my heart, or my head to have any darkness or conflict with you."

"Good, I'm glad," MJ added at the end of the call.
