Here's Really What's Happening Between Gia Giudice and Frankie Catania
Dolores Catania has the scoop on the RHONJ kids' relationship status.
Earlier this year Gia Giudice and Frankie Catania were spotted out and about on a couple of occasions. Teresa Giudice's daughter and Dolores Catania's son were photographed together at her aunt Melissa Gorga's Envy fashion show (he modeled in the show) in May. Then later that month, he accompanied her to her senior prom as her date.
Both those moments will appear in Season 10 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey (clip above).
So, what is really going on between Gia and Frankie these days? Dolores is spilling the tea.
“They’ve been friends since they were little,” she told PEOPLE. She added that on the day they went to prom together, “there wasn’t a dry eye in the room."
She continued, “If I could have married them there — like, Gia was the perfect little Italian girl. Making sure my mom was okay, that my mom sat down and ate. And Frankie bought her Chanel earrings. They were beautiful. Then Gia called me to let me know they were on their way home okay.”
But, Dolores noted, “They’re close friends. I mean, Frankie and Gia don’t like to talk to us about their personal business, but Frankie’s thing is he says, ‘I don’t have anything to offer anybody right now. I have work to do. I can’t give someone the attention they deserve.'”
For now, it seems, the two Garden State kids seem focused on school (Gia just started her freshman year at Rutgers University) and pursuing whatever is next in their future careers.
“He wants to be an investment banker, that takes a lot of your life,” Dolores said. “He said, ‘It wouldn’t be fair to anyone right now, for me to be with them.’ And I said, ‘The trade-off is you’re going be lonely.’ He said, ‘I know that, I am.'”
