Vicki Gunvalson Addresses Steve Lodge Breakup Rumors
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum reacts to fan speculation about her relationship.
Vicki Gunvalson is setting the record straight following rumors about the current status of her relationship with fiancé Steve Lodge.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum confirmed to Us Weekly on October 26 that she and Steve "are fine" and are still engaged. “I have no fricking idea where this came from,” Vicki told the outlet.
Speculation about the RHOC couple began after one fan recently pointed out that Vicki and Steve don't follow each other on social media and haven't posted a photo together in more than a month. “[We] live together and live a very private romantic life,” Vicki told Us Weekly. “We don’t follow each other on social media and haven’t for a long time, and we don’t post photos of each other – what’s the point?”
Vicki added, “This is a complete joke and not worth even commenting, but I did.”
The most recent photos Vicki posted on Instagram of herself and Steve are from their vacation with family and friends to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in late September.
Vicki and Steve began dating in 2016 after meeting at a charity event. The couple got engaged three years later in April 2019.
The OG OC Housewife revealed in an Instagram Live interview with Hollywood Life in April that she and Steve were planning on getting married that month in a small ceremony with just their children present. However, they decided to postpone their nuptials amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Vicki noted at that time that she was not “rushing to get down the aisle right now" and was instead focusing on her Coto Insurance business and its employees. “There’s a lot more I’ve got to do which is keep this business and my staff who’s not here right now,” she said.
But it sounds like that trip to Puerto Vallarta gave Vicki some newfound wedding inspiration. "This place is incredible," Vicki said of La Troza resort in her Instagram Story on September 23. "[Steve] and I [are] thinking of getting married here."
