Are You a Zoila?

Hard work pays off with the Zoila Award.

By Kia Wood

Jeff Lewis may be the face of the Flipping Out empire, but we know who's really pulling the weight. And now, the hardest working housekeeper in show business is getting her due.

The Orange County Register gave our own Zoila Chavez her own day and her own award (no, they didn't just hand her an award, they actually named one after her). Yvette Cabrera, a columnist with the paper, recently marked "Viva Zoila Day!" and announced plans to hand out the first ever Zoila Award. The paper is currently searching for hard workers -- not just regular hard worker, but driven, dedicated, unstoppable Zoila-type workers -- and Zoila herself will help to crown a winner. It's an honorary title and there's no actual hardware, but a winner will be profiled in the paper and may get to chat with Zoila herself.

So if you have a Zoila in your life, email ycabrera@ocregister.com to nominate the hardest working person you know. For more, you can check out Yvette's column in the O.C. Register.
