Ariana Madix Shares Where She Stands with Lisa Vanderpump Today

Ariana Madix boldly went where few SURvers have gone before in Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules: confronting Lisa Vanderpump. The bartender approached her boss during the season finale about how Lisa seemed to often unfairly put down Ariana's boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, as well as their good friend Tom Schwartz.

The two didn't appear to be on the same page during the conversation, with Lisa telling Ariana that it wasn't as serious as she made it out to be. Though they seemed to still be in a good place by the time the season came to a close, Ariana expressed her disappointment with how the conversation went in the Vanderpump Rules Season 7 After Show, which you can view, above.

"Literally as the words were coming out of my mouth, I realized that it was a completely pointless endeavor," she shared. "She'll never take what I'm saying seriously; I'll always be her minion. What is the point? All I'm going to do is make her mad. She'll get vindictive; she'll try to get back at me for having this opinion and these concerns, so, you know what, screw it. I'll just go back to my f--king corner and stay out of it and live my life."

Ariana's opinion of Lisa has changed since then. “Over the last year I’ve connected on a new level with Lisa; she feels much more real to me now," Ariana explained during a recent interview with Glamour.

She also said that she doesn't believe Lisa favors the men over the women of Vanderpump Rules, as some have speculated. “I never thought of that," she said. "I think that a lot of it is a little bit of a schtick. But I also think maybe she holds us to a higher standard. I don’t think she expects much of the men.”

However, in the next episode of Vanderpump Rules airing Tuesday, January 14 at 9/8c, Lisa isn't so ready to move on with Ariana. When Ariana asks Lisa for her job back in the below preview clip of the upcoming episode, the SUR boss isn't so quick to have her back behind the bar. 

"I don't quite understand because when somebody you've employed for 10 years starts talking a load of s--t about you, quite frankly, I'm kind of mystified as to why you would want to come back here," Lisa tells Ariana. "My feelings were really hurt."

Ariana apologizes for her comments about Lisa. "I'm very emotional with everything that has to do with Tom, but I want to repair our relationship, regardless of whether or not I work here, don't work here," she says. "I want you to see me as somebody who's going to grow and become somebody like you, a business owner like you."

"Of course you are! You're an intelligent woman," Lisa says to Ariana. "I want you to grow into a woman that I also feel that I can continue to be proud of."
