Will the Vanderpump Rules Cast Support Ariana Madix on Broadway?
Ariana also broke down how she's been rehearsing, and how her dancing gig was like a "boot camp" to prepare her.
Ariana Madix is getting ready to hit the Broadway stage as Roxie Hart in Chicago (which is a role that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Erika Jayne knows all too well), and she'll be getting by with a little help from her Vanderpump Rules friends.
Ahead of her January 29 Broadway debut, Ariana opened up about taking on the iconic role, and she revealed which of her fellow castmates will be in the audience on opening night.
Ariana Madix Reveals If Her Vanderpump Rules Cast Members Will Come to Her Broadway Show
The Single AF Cocktails author said that her Vanderpump Rules friends will "absolutely" be coming to see her take on her first major Broadway role. Though her castmates all live in Los Angeles, most of them will be making their way to New York City once Season 11 premieres.
"What's great is because it's going to be I'm going to be performing while the Vanderpump [Rules] season is airing so a lot of them will be coming to New York for Watch What Happens Live [with Andy Cohen]," Ariana explained during an interview with Extra. "So I'm like you can just come see me, too."
Though she had a misunderstanding with Scheana Shay regarding some hotel room drama at BravoCon 2023 and it looks like she has a clash with Lala Kent in the Season 11 trailer, the Something About Her co-owner told Page Six that both of her longtime close pals will be in the audience to support her on opening night on January 29.
Ariana's other friends and family outside of the Vanderpump Rules cast will also be in attendance when her Broadway run commences.
"A lot of family a lot of friends — my mom[,] everybody's going to be coming out and it's going to be great," she added to Extra.
Ariana Madix Talks About Her Broadway Rehearsal Process
Now that she's just a few weeks away from her first show, Ariana is in full preparation mode. She told Extra that her recent dance gig served as a "boot camp" of sorts to prepare her for the Broadway stage.
She also broke down her rehearsal schedule.
“We might have like four hours, right, but they're broken up in different ways so the first two hours we might be working on music, and then the second two hours, we're working on staging, blocking, choreography, stuff like that..." she explained.
Ariana, who has temporarily relocated to New York City (which is where her boyfriend, Daniel Wai, lives) is fully focused on becoming Roxie Hart.
"The days off, you know, I'm in vocal lessons and things like that and then on the days off, I'm like really trying to like focus on resting because I really want to be ready physically to conquer something like that," she continued. "I think it’s all about stamina.”
Whenever Ariana begins to get worried about the impending opening night, she remembers that she has put the work in to succeed.
"It really comes down to the fact that I am prepared, and I'm ready..." she told Broadway.com. "So, right now, I'm just leaning into that, and knowing that while I'm preparing, like, when it's time, I'll be ready."
Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premieres on Tuesday, January 30 at 9/8c on Bravo. Stream episodes the next day (and catch up on Seasons 1 through 10) on Peacock.
