Ariana Madix Wants to Take the Next Step In Her Relationship with Tom Sandoval

Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix may not be tying the knot anytime soon, but the Vanderpump Rules couple is planning on taking their relationship to the next level in the near future. They dream of buying a home together hopefully within the year, Ariana recently revealed to The Daily Dish.

Tom and Ariana currently live in a "relatively inexpensive rent-controlled apartment." "Most of our friends have moved into bigger and better apartments with bigger and bigger rents to pay," Ariana explained. "We're trying to keep that rent small, so we've been saving."

Ariana shared that she and Tom are still in the process of getting their finances in order, saving their money, looking into loans, and making sure their credit scores are in tip-top shape before they go house hunting. Now doesn't all of that sound like some serious "adulting"? "We're just trying to make sure that we have our ducks in a row," Ariana said. "Hopefully, we'll be able to start looking soon."

And when Tom and Ariana do start their search, they won't be looking for a house but a home. "I like lots of different kinds of houses. I really like craftsmen style. Having a front porch to me is so cool. I love those homes that have a stained glass window in the front door. I'm all about that curb appeal. I love hardwood floors," Ariana gushed. "I want something that is updated on the important stuff, like plumbing, windows, things like that, but maybe a little bit of a fixer upper because Tom and I would love to be able to put our own stamp on things. That would be cool."

You might not be too surprised, then, to learn that Ariana is a huge fan of home improvement shows. We mean, couldn't you just imagine Ariana demolishing some dry wall and Tom putting up wallpaper on their very own DIY home renovation series? "We should totally have a home improvement show," Ariana agreed. "First of all, we would fight a lot on which things to pick. Eventually, it would all get done, and I think that would be dope. So yeah, that would be so cool. I think we would kill that." 

So yeah, you could say that Ariana can't wait for the day she and Tom have a home to call their own. "I've been wanting to buy a house for so long that I think that when I'm finally a homeowner, I will feel a sense of relief, in a way. I get so inspired when I see other people's houses or when I think of my home growing up and all the things that we did to improve the home and all the things that you can do. Like, anytime that I go to a friend's house and we go into a backyard and we look out there, like, wow, I would do this and I would do this and I would do this. I just have so many ideas, and I just think that it would be such a great creative outlet," she said. "And I just think that to be a homeowner is such a — I don't want to say it's such a grown-up thing — but I think that it is a huge milestone, it's a big life milestone. Man, I'll just be so stoked. I'll just love that."
