It turns out the #SouthernCharm rookie's second cousin appeared on that other reality show.

Apparently reality TV runs in the family for Southern Charm newbie, Austen Kroll. If he seemed a little familiar to you, that just might be because he's related to a former The Bachelorette suitor. You see, Austen is second cousins with Will Haduc, who tried to win JoJo Fletcher's heart during Season 12. And Will is pretty surprised by how chill Austen has been since making his TV debut earlier this month.

How to Watch

Watch Southern Charm on Peacock and the Bravo App.

"I don't know. I'm staying pretty level-headed, I'd say," Austen told the Daily Dish. "And my cousins came in town and one of them, my cousin Will, was on [The Bachelorette]. And he was telling me, we're out drinking and we didn't talk about it much because for him it was a lot. And he was over it and he didn't like all the stuff that came with it. But he was like, 'You seem to be taking it relatively well. You're like really calm and cool.' It's like, 'What else am I supposed to do?' I'm excited for these things to come out because the first episode was a good coming out party for me, but now I'm interested for people to really get to know me. And so for all these reasons, I'm just not. I'm really not nervous."

Austen's cousin, Nick.

He said the fact that both he and Will have appeared on TV is "funny," but noted that they each went into it with very different personalities.

"He is a very low-key kind of guy. But when we were out together, I swear, we're sitting around eating [and] it's so funny. We're sitting around eating and we start talking about it and this waitress overhears it and lost it that he was on [The Bachelorette]," he recalled. "Like, 'Oh my God! I remember you.' And asked to take a picture with him and I'm sitting there taking the picture. I didn't tell her that I was on Southern Charm cause that would have been stupid. He said to me when we met up, he was like, 'Oh man, just get ready for it.' ... I think I'm, and he thinks as well, that I'm better built for it than he ever was. He didn't like the prying into his life."

Don't miss Austen every Monday at 9/8c. preview, below.
