Aviva Drescher Makes Most Inspiring List

Gladys Magazine honors the ‘Wife for her charity work with children.

By Lauren Metz

Aviva Drescher fought back tears during The Real Housewives of New York City’s reunion as she recalled painfully losing part of her leg after a childhood accident. For her unshakable commitment to helping other children facing similar obstacles, the mom of four has been named by Gladys Magazine as their Most Inspirational Person for 2012.

"I am extremely honored to be a part of this year's phenomenal list of Inspirational People as named by Gladys Magazine. I strive to be the best wife, mother and give back where I am able,” the statuesque beauty writes on her Facebook page. "I will continue working to be the best I can be, both at home and within the community - making change and striving to bring light to my causes through my actions including continuing work with my charity, One Step Ahead, which remains close to my heart.”

Telling the magazine more about One Step Ahead, Aviva notes, "This charity funds prosthetics for children that are not otherwise covered by insurance. We also create athletic environments to raise the self-esteem of children who are amputees. Amy Winters is the founder of this charity and I am the national spokesperson.”
