Below Deck Adventure’s First Charter Is Underway — but Not Without Drama

A feud between stews Kasie Faddah and Oriana Schneps may be brewing. Start watching the Below Deck Adventure premiere now to see why.

The Below Deck Adventure crew is ready to shake things up in more ways than one. Not only are they breaking tradition by setting sail in the Norwegian fjords rather than a tropical locale, but as this sneak peek released ahead of tonight’s series premiere shows, the group is also unafraid to say how they feel about one another and the work they have to do.

How to Watch

And it’s a lot of work, as the yacht’s previous charter guests left quite the mess. So after Captain Kerry Titheradge gives the crew a rundown of the unique challenges they’ll face aboard the Mercury (like the weather turning “very quickly”), everyone hits the ground running.

Chief stew Faye Clarke is leading the charge on the interior team with stews Kasie Faddah and Oriana Schneps, who, as it turns out, have worked together before. In confessional interviews, Oriana describes Kasie as “not someone who likes to be told what to do,” while Kasie says Oriana was “controlling” and “high strung and very stressed.”

Adds Kasie, “I don’t really respect her.”

Regardless of how Kasie feels about Oriana, they are in competition for the second stew position. The way Faye sees it, “I can tell instantly that Oriana is looking forward to being that second stew, but it’s up to me to put them in the positions I think they belong in. Until then, no one’s gonna be a second or a third.”

And Faye isn’t someone you want to cross. “I’ve been a chief stew for nearly two years now,” she says in a confessional. “I grew up in Southeast London. I went to an all-girls school. Southeast London girls do our hair and makeup, we like our nails done, you don’t want to mess with us. We can have a fight.”

There Is Already Tension Among the Deck Crew

There’s no telling if Faye will find herself in one this season, but Kyle Dickard and Nathan Morley are practically already there in another Below Deck Adventure preview. Nathan is attempting to give Kyle a tutorial, but he simply doesn’t want to listen, telling him, “I know all this. Just cut straight to what you want to, to get through this as fast as possible.”

That’s not all. Adds Kyle, “You’re just saying a bunch of s--t.”

Nathan, meanwhile, is much calmer — but that doesn’t mean Kyle’s disrespect is going unnoticed. See the exchange above.
