Meet Below Deck's New Chief Stew for Season 8 Francesca Rubi
Captain Lee Rosbach will be welcoming a new head of interior following Kate Chastain's departure.
Below Deck will welcome a new chief stew for the first time in six seasons when Season 8 premieres on Monday, November 2 at 9/8c.
Francesca Rubi joins the crew as chief stew in the new season following Kate Chastain's departure after Season 7. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Francesca began her career in event management working for celebrity clients. She eventually got into the yachting industry first as a hostess and has since gained experience as a purser, deckhand, and stew.
A press release for the new season of Below Deck describes Francesca as "a perfectionist who runs a tight ship by raising the bar when it comes to service." Francesca also admits in the above trailer for Season 8, "I do take my job a little bit too seriously sometimes."
However, it sounds like Francesca's stews in Season 8, Elizabeth Frankini and Isabelle "Izzy" Wouters, don't exactly have the same philosophy when it comes to service. "When [Francesca] discovers her Stews are not up to her 'white gloves, no water marks' standards, she reaches a breaking point that sends waves throughout the interior," the press release reads.
As we know from watching Below Deck over the years, being the chief stew is not always a pleasure cruise.
