Nico Scholly's Younger Brother Has Passed Away

"My heart is completely broken," the #BelowDeck yachtie said.

Nico Scholly's 21-year-old brother Tristen Scholly has passed away, The Daily Dish has confirmed. "My family and I are truly devastated. We ask that our privacy be respected at this tragic and very difficult time," Nico told The Daily Dish in a statement.

Nico initially announced the news on Twitter Monday. "My younger brother of 21 is now an [angel]. So please pray for my family," he tweeted. "I've never felt this pain before. I never understood the term broken-hearted til now. I just want to wake up," Nico wrote in another tweet.

The Below Deck yachtie paid tribute to his "best friend" and "other half" with some touching posts on Instagram. "My heart is completely broken," Nico captioned a photo of himself and his late brother. "I'm going to miss you so much Tristen.. [You're too] young to say goodbye so I'll see u again brother."

 

Nico also praised his Tristen as "brave" and "amazing" for his decision to donate his organs upon his passing. "So proud of my little brother!" Nico wrote on Instagram

 

Two of Nico's fellow Below Deck yachties, chief stew Kate Chastain and alum Adrienne Gang, have sent love and support to the deckhand and his family during this difficult time.
