Below Deck Alum Eddie Lucas Says "It's Been Rough to Watch" the Season 7 Crew

It doesn't seem to be "going too well for them," according to the former bosun.

By Laura Rosenfeld

Plenty of unforgettable yachties have joined the Below Deck crew since bosun Eddie Lucas last appeared on the series in Season 3. But when The Daily Dish caught up with Eddie backstage at Below Deck's 100th episode celebration at Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on January 6 (clip above), we learned that there's one crew member in particular he's been dying to work with.

How to Watch

"I would love to work with Josiah [Carter]. I think he would be great to work with," Eddie said when asked to name one Below Deck yachtie he didn't work with who he would want in his crew. "I connected with him a little bit last night, and he was a really nice guy. I feel like he would work really well [in] the group."

However, when it comes to deck crew members, the jury is still out for Eddie. "When it comes to deck crew and everything, I don't know. I don't know who I'd really like to work with I haven't met yet," he said. "I don't know if any of them, to be honest. I've watched this current season, and it kind of left a bad taste in my mouth at times, so I can't really put my finger on any of them right now."

Eddie noted that he hasn't seen every moment of Below Deck since he was on the show, but he has been keeping up with the current season, which has been "tough to watch at times." "It's been rough to watch," he said. "For me, my standards, I wouldn't really think it's going too well for them."

Eddie, who appeared in Seasons 1, 2, and 3 of Below Deck, said that he has noticed the series "has really changed a lot from that first season." "I feel like that the drama has become more explosive, more confrontational, a little bit harder at times," he said.

The onetime Below Deck bosun said that he is blown away by the success of the series over the past seven seasons and 100 episodes. "I'm so proud of Captain Lee [Rosbach] and Kate [Chastain] and everyone else who has turned this show into this amazing hit that is now today, and it's just really amazing," he said. "It's really exciting, and I'm proud of the whole crew."
