Bethenny Frankel Details Her Next Projects After The Real Housewives of New York City
Bethenny already has some new TV gigs lined up following her departure from RHONY.
Bethenny Frankel may have announced her departure from The Real Housewives of New York City last month, but that doesn't mean she's leaving the world of TV.
The Skinnygirl mogul opened up to Variety about all of the projects she's currently working on as part of her multi-year development deal with MGM Television and Mark Burnett. "We have two shows that already have offers. One of them is the continuation of my story with a business twist. It's a docu-competition show," Bethenny said on the red carpet of the 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards Sunday night. "And then the other one I'm producing, it's about a group of hilarious women. It's soft-scripted."
Bethenny then clarified that "soft-scripted" meant "that there's somewhere that you want it to do, but let them riff. They're funny enough to carry it, so let them riff."
The RHONY alum also shared that she's working on about three or four other "female-centric" shows. "One of them is in the comedy space. Another one is in the business space. Another one is about women coming of age," Bethenny described, adding that they're all "still irreverent" with "humor being one of the most important aspects."
This was Bethenny's first time attending the Primetime Emmy Awards, but with any luck and with all of these exciting new projects in the works, it won't be her last.
In Bethenny's farewell note to RHONY that she shared on Instagram on August 21, she encouraged fans to follow their dreams, just as she had done and will continue to do in the future. "GO for it. Whatever it is. Reach for your dreams in life and love and make the impossible happen, because it can happen and it WILL happen. Come from a place of yes and it’s yours for the taking," Bethenny wrote. "Thank you so much for your love and support. And stay tuned, you haven’t seen the last of me. There are many amazing things to come."
