Carole Radziwill Thinks Ramona Singer Was Trying to "Poke" Bethenny Frankel by Bringing Up Her Daughter

Carole Radziwill Talks Ramona Singer & Trump

This season of The Real Housewives of New York City is quite the emotional Ramona coaster. Ramona Singer just can't seem to get along with many of her fellow Manhattanites, whether it's debating politics with Carole Radziwill, brewing a beef with Bethenny Frankel, or still talking about Tom around Luann D'Agostino.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and stream next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

Luckily, we had Carole on the front lines to break down all of the drama involving Ramona this season on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Wednesday night. First, one WWHL caller asked if Carole regretted disinviting Ramona from her election night party. "Gosh, let me think about that for a second... no. No, I don't. She wasn't interested at all. She actually, when I first mentioned it, let's just recap a little, I just said I'm having an election party and she jumped off the couch and said, 'Hillary [Clinton] and those emails. God only knows what's gonna happen. I don't want to go to a party.' So she kind of disinvited herself before she was invited," Carole explained. "But I don't have any regrets. I don't live with any regrets."

Then another WWHL caller asked Carole why it seems like Ramona is having a difficult time understanding why bringing up Bethenny's daughter as she asked about her past nude movie scene was upsetting to the Skinnygirl mogul. "Well, that's a good question, and none of us can understand why she doesn't understand that as well," Carole said. "I think she was trying to poke Bethenny and shame her a little."

Ramona Singer Mentioning Bethenny Frankel’s Daughter

Ramona caught wind of how much chatter was going on about her on WWHL, which she pointed out on Twitter during the episode.

Ramona recently explained to The Daily Dish that her comments were out of concern for Bethenny, not malice. "I think all of us on the show that have children, our children come No. 1. So I was kind of surprised by Bethenny's reaction when I was bringing up her daughter because I wasn't bringing up her daughter to talk about her daughter. But I just came back from Avery, visiting her at college [and] having a special experience with her. And then I'm out of concern, like mommy to mommy, 'Hey, what's going on with you and your daughter and this school because things like have an impact?' I know when I'm in the press for something that's negative, hey Avery's friends can read it," she said. "People talk, and it came out of concern, not to put her on the spot or to embarrass her. And I was really shocked at her reaction, how things all turned out. Of course, I admit my delivery might not have been the best but, hey, what can I say?"
