Bethenny Frankel's Closet Tips and Tricks

Mrs. Hoppy encourages you to indulge the urge to purge.

By Lauren Metz

Bethenny Frankel might be considering making the move west, but she's been a New Yorker long enough to how to pack a sprawling, glamorous life into limited closet space. "I bought inexpensive, clear boxes to organize my shoes," the Bethenny Ever After star schools OK! Magazine in the art of organization. "I put photographs on the outside of them, so when I open the closet, I can see what's in all the boxes, without having to open [them] or having shoes out there on their own piled up."

B also perfected an "out with the old" system. "I am constantly getting rid of things that I don't need, and if something comes in the house, I get rid of something," she says. "When I do laundry, I put the clean on the bottom. I'm constantly rotating out clothes. That way, you're wearing everything and then you get to see what t-shirts are dingy or ratty and I'll donate it or repurpose it into a rag."

Fellow Manhattanite and new mom Cindy Barshop can empathize with Bethenny's space woes. While showing off her downtown pad, the New York Housewife gripes to Zap2It, "This is the most difficult part of New York City — finding enough closet space! It's so small here. I'm definitely going to be moving soon." Not out of NYC, we hope!
