Bethenny's Super Bowl Staple
Spice up your game day chips and dip.
Perhaps as a nod to Victor Cruz's signature end zone salsa moves, Bethenny Frankel's sharing one of her favorite snack happy recipes.
"@michaelstrahan @newyorkGIANTS are going to superbowl. Woohoo! #Nailbiter," the New Yorker tweeted after Cruz and his fellow G-Men defeated the San Francisco 49ers for their golden ticket to Indianapolis. Ready to start planning your Super Bowl menu? B brags that her salsa verde is "the perfect spicy salsa for your party or afternoon snack."
Here's what you'll need for the football fixing, according to Bethenny.com:
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 1/2 lb green tomatillos, husk removed
1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
2 tbsp lime juice
2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
"Cut the tomatillos lengthwise and roast them either on the grill or for about 6 minutes under the broiler until the skin is a little dark," the Bethenny Ever After star instructs on her site. "Put the roasted tomatillos, onion, cilantro, lime juice and jalapeño in a blender or food processor."
Then simply blend until pureed and refrigerate. Hungry for more ideas? Then keep checking Bethenny.com. "Just made the quickest, easiest, healthiest, most delicious veggie chili. Will post recipe this week! Perfect for football!" Bryn's mama promised.
