Lemonade Rage Is the Beyoncé-Themed Video Game You Didn't Know You Needed
Hold up, it's time to slay the haterz.
Beyoncé may not have swept this year's Grammy Awards, but some of her fans have turned lemons into lemonade by creating a free, Bey-themed online game.
Lemonade Rage casts you as Queen Bey in her "Hold Up" video, with a baseball bat in hand and a cute 8-Bit Universe remix of the song to match. Your goal is to recover enough of your stolen lemons to make lemonade. Earn lemons by smashing car windows and stay alive by avoiding three constant obstacles; sign-waving "haterz," scary "Illuminati conspiracists," and swirly piles of "bull****." If you die too quickly, you're dismissed with a sassy, "Boy, bye!"
Developers Joe Laquinte, Justin Au, Line Johnsen, and Colby Spear state on their site that they are not affiliated with Beyoncé and that the game was made "purely for fun."
Even if you don't care that she didn't win every last Grammy, Lemonade Rage is good for some stress relief at your desk or on your phone. After all, it's always a good idea to take a quick break from the haterz, Illuminati conspiracists, and b.s. in your own world. Now slay away.
