Brad Goreski: Making Man Purses Cool?

Rachel Zoe's ex-protégé sets a trend.

There's the wrong way to rock a man purse, and then there's the Brad way. Man bags have been turning up on the shoulders of runway models and stars more and more, but fabulous four-eyed fashionisto Brad Goreski got a particular shout out from The Daily Beast's fashion correspondent, Isabel Wilkinson, recently for his handling of the hot accessory.

Wilkinson says the man bag is an increasingly necessary accessory, with the rise of electronic devices like iPads and Kindles that need storage, and the need for an appealing, upscale-looking bag that can transition from work to gym to evening. But not all murse wearers are being imaginative or creative in their choice of bag. She says Lil' Wayne and Snoop Dogg both favor Louis Vuitton man bags (even though the mania for Vuitton crested long ago). Cristiano Ronaldo sports a Gucci clutch, and Jude Law has been "photographed with a yellow leopard-print mini-audiere." (whuuuuut?) She notes with admiration, "Stylist Brad Goreski was a standout example during New York Fashion Week, when he evoked Harry Potter with his neon-green bag from the Cambridge Satchel Company." Looks like the bow-tied Bravoleb's shoring up his reputation as a tastemaker.

Brad's the October guest stylist for Style Mint, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's tee line (picking a long-sleeved black-and-white striped v-neck as his favorite) and he's been styling at Kate Spade NY. Last night he Tweeted, "In my hotel room working...trying to catch up so I can go out tomorrow night with @caseykenyon. Seeing #Footloose made me wanna dance!!"

Where do you stand on the murse? Yeah or nay? Start a Tweet Battle and make your case.
