Emily Simpson Defends Pointing Out Braunwyn Windham-Burke Has 2 Nannies

The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member comments on her role in the drama with Gina Kirschenheiter.

When there's a disagreement between two Housewives, it often doesn't take long for the whole group to get involved in the drama.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Peacock and the Bravo App.

That's exactly what happened after Braunwyn Windham-Burke confronted Shannon Storms Beador about comments she believes she said about Gina Kirschenheiter's new townhome in the October 28 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. After Braunwyn admitted to Gina at the party that she had "been talking s--t about you non-stop" and that she was "owning" it, Emily Simpson chimed in, "Yeah, but saying you own it doesn't make it better!"

Then when Braunwyn said she "couldn't find the time" to call or text Gina about their issues, Emily reacted, "You have two nannies, and you don't work. You can make time."

Since Emily was the first OC Housewife Braunwyn opened up to about her drinking and her commitment to a sober lifestyle in the Season 15 premiere, one fan during the November 4 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen wondered why "she would gang up on Braunwyn at Shannon's party when you knew what was going on with her?"

"No, I don't feel like I ganged up on her. Just because you're going through sobriety doesn't mean you get a hall pass to just do whatever you want and say whatever you want," Emily explained on WWHL in the above clip. "I mean, I still think you have to be a good human, too."

Emily added that she thought Braunwyn's "time excuse was ridiculous."

Braunwyn tweeted about the challenges on the road to sobriety that we saw unfold at Shannon's party. "This is what recovery and detox looks like, it’s not pretty, I was unraveling at warp speed, that being said, I’m still glad I did it," she shared in a tweet on November 4. "You have a front row to my bottom, and if it helps 1 person it was all worth it."

Braunwyn also confirmed in another recent tweet that she is now nine months sober and "starting to finally feel normal."
