Braunwyn Windham-Burke Has Dealt with Infidelity: "Sean and I Almost Got Divorced"

Braunwyn Windham-Burke and husband Sean Burke have been together for a long time and have seven children — but The Real Housewives of Orange County couple have definitely dealt with bumps all along the way.

"We fought for our family because Sean and I almost got divorced," Braunwyn said on The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show, noting that she was initially supportive of Gina Kirschenheiter reconciling with her ex-husband. "So when she was going through this, I was like, hey, we've been through infidelity. We've gone down this road and Sean and I came back stronger, so I support you," Braunwyn said.

She then shared their own personal story of infidelity. "I cheated on Sean," Braunwyn revealed. "We separated. I took the kids. He was with someone else too. We were separated, we were in two different homes. I went to Hawaii; I took the kids, I enrolled them in school. I told Sean I was done. I just didn't want to be a single mom anymore. He traveled 25 days a month."

Braunwyn said while in Hawaii, she dated a man but kept it "very PG." "We surfed together, we would go for walks, and I wasn't ready for anything more but it was just nice to have someone listen," she said.

So how did these two find their way back to each other? Braunwyn explained, "After a few months, he flew out to Hawaii and he got down on one knee and re-proposed to me. He had quit his job; he was the president of a very successful company. He sold his shares and he walked away and he became a stay-at-home dad for like eight years. He said I would rather choose you guys than my work."

In fact, Braunwyn calls that time in their relationship "the best thing that ever happened."
