The Daily Dish Tabatha Takes Over

Bravo Parody Alert! '24' Actress Gets Inspired by Tabatha

Marry Lynn Rajskub takes over.

By Nicki Gostin

We love a Bravo parody. See THIS, THIS, and THIS. We also love Mary Lynn Rajskub. The 24 actress has shot a video that perfectly parodies our Tabatha Coffey, only Mary Lynn plays a disciplinarian nun who takes over a convent and steamrolls the sisters into shape. The timing is certainly apropos as the Vatican just announced its choice for pope.

It all started when Mary Lynn, who coincidentally is a former roommate of Kathy Griffin’s, told co-writer and co-director Mark J. Marraccini that she was a big fan of Tabatha Coffey’s Tabatha Takes Over in which the blunt blonde Aussie helps failing hair salons.

The parody is spot-on down to camera angles and voiceover.

“We studied their promos down to minute details to get it right. “Unlike most scripted sketches, we shot this ‘reality-style’ with two cameras rolling at once as if we were really shooting a reality show.” Marraccini explained to The Hollywood Reporter.

The video includes another Bravo allusion of sorts. There is a slap inspired by a similar moment in The Real Housewives of Miami where Adrianna swiped Joanna.

Watch below, and tell us if if you think Mary Lynn's impression is Tabatha-worthy in the Comments below.
