Bravo Stars Show Their #GayPride
Alex, Bethenny, Andy, and more celebrate marriage equality win.
It's officially wedding season in New York. Last Friday, the state Senate voted 33 to 29 in favor of legalizing gay marriage, making it the sixth state in the nation to do so.
"Historic day. Gay marriage passed in new York. I have a few weddings to plan!! Mazel tov!" The Real Housewives of New York City's Jill Zarin tweeted after Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the bill into law.
Could one of those weddings be for our own Andy Cohen? He did recently accept a proposal, you know. "Wanna get married @bravoandy?" former boyband-er Lance Bass tweeted. AC's apparently more than ready to take the plunge and tweeted back, "Yes and I want an #nsync reunion at the party. Pleeeeease??"
In case Lance falls through on the Justin Timberlake goods, Andy's keeping his options open with help from Patti Stanger. The Millionaire Matchmaker tweeted, "@BravoAndy Now that NY is legal, let's get you a bf!"
Likewise, RHONY's Alex McCord wasted no time celebrating friends' impending nuptials. "With @SimonvanKempen to do a champagne toast for our lesbian friends who can now make it legal," she tweeted, and the couple later marched in New York's annual Gay Pride Parade. "Marching w Gov Cuomo & @menynyc to celebrate #MarriageEquality & #Pride," Alex alerted her followers on Sunday.
Fellow New Yorker Sonja Morgan posted after the win, "Feeling warm and fuzzy and hoping to be a bridesmaid a million times over! #marriageequality CONGRATS!" Bethenny Frankel added, "My show should have been called 'EVERYONE is GETTING MARRIED!' How awesome!"
