Blame it on the weather. Earlier this week, our Bravo stars tweeted about an earthquake shaking their McMansions, and now those same East Coasters are in a Twitter tizzy over Hurricane Irene.
“Beautiful morning in the city. Suppose its the calm before the storm. Use today to prepare for the weekend everyone!” The Real Housewives of New York’s Ramona Singer tweeted.
Simon van Kempen’s doing just that. “Is this the calm b4 the storm? It's time to move everything inside so the winds can't make missiles,” Alex McCord’s hubby posted from Brooklyn.
Meanwhile, out in the Hamptons, Countess LuAnn stocked up on board games in anticipation of Irene’s weekend buzzkill. “Don't know when the storm will hit but we are getting ready and prepared to hunker down in the Hamptons,” the New York Housewife wrote on Facebook. “Lots of cooking and scrabble on the menu for the weekend. Everyone stay safe!”
Andy Cohen, on the other hand, had a tough time deciding whether to stick around the posh sandy shores or head Manhattan-bound. “Ok both @CarolineManzo and @andersoncooper have totally freaked me out and confused me about the storm. #unclear #cantwin,” he tweeted. But in the end, it was beach or bust. “Oy I'm staying in Hamptons. This'll be interesting.”
