Bravolebs Celebrate SCOTUS Ruling on Same-Sex Marriage
The ladies of #RHOBH, Andy Cohen, and more applaud the landmark ruling for gay rights.
On Friday (June 26) a huge victory was made in the fight for gay rights. The Supreme Court decided that states cannot prohibit same-sex couples from marrying and that doing so violates the Constitution. “Under the Constitution, same-sex couples seek in marriage the same legal treatment as opposite-sex couples, and it would disparage their choices and diminish their personhood to deny them this right,” wrote Justice Anthony Kennedy, according to the Washington Post.
Since the history-making decision was made, folks from all over the Bravo universe have headed to social media to celebrate the victory in the gay rights movement. Check out what they had to say below.
History has been made! #Samesex marriage cannot be denied in any of the 50 states.TY #JUSTICEAnthonyKennedy #ConstitutionalRight #justice
