The incident occurred at one of the nation's oldest African-American churches and left nine people dead following bible study and prayer. Since the news broke overnight on Wednesday (June 17), the cast of Southern Charm, which takes place in Charleston, has voiced their sympathy for those affected in their hometown.

Craig Conover, Landon Clements, and Shep Rose have all responded to the shooting on Twitter.

"Praying for everyone affected," Craig tweets. "Nothing more deplorable than acts of racism.

Landon and Shep mirrored those sentiments on their own social media accounts.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta are also reacting to the tragedy on social media.

"Pray for Charleston. My heartfelt condolences and prayers to the families and loved ones," Cynthia Bailey writes on Twitter.

Andy Cohen also addressed it in on Twitter, ahead of the suspect being apprehended by police on Thursday (June 18).

Fashion Queens star Bevy Smith shared her heartfelt response to the incident on Instagram, writing, "Pray for the victims of the Mother Emanuel terrorist attack and for the church family! Mother Emanuel is the oldest BLACK church in the South. Founded by a freed slave, Denmark Vesey, a revolutionary who plotted a slave insurrection and was killed along with 46 others. The church was burned down in an attempt to suppress slave revolts but the parishioners never stopped worshipping & they rebuilt in 1865! Emanuel means 'GOD WITH US' I believe that is the case, I pray it is so, I'm praying for Charleston, for humanity!"

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump adds, "Sickeningly, senseless violence ended the life of those seeking solace in a place of worship, such a tragedy. Thoughts and prayers to all."
