Scheana Shay's Husband, Brock Davies, Shares an Emotional Update on His Kids
The Vanderpump Rules husband opened up about the relationship while reflecting on his recent trip to Australia.
Brock Davies was brought to tears during a candid conversation about his family.
The Vanderpump Rules husband tackled the subject during the January 12 episode of Scheananigans, the long-running podcast series hosted by his wife, Scheana Shay. The couple, who welcomed a daughter named Summer Moon Honey in 2021, spent a portion of the broadcast reflecting on their holiday vacation in Australia, where Brock was primarily raised.
The New Zealand native said the trip was particularly special as it marked the first time in 10 years he had spent Christmas and New Year’s Day with his relatives, including his mom, brother, and sister-in-law.
After recalling the events of the getaway, the husband and wife turned their direction toward a more serious subject: Brock's two kids from a previous relationship.
Brock Davies reveals if he saw his kids during his Australia trip
“Speaking of family, I do have an obvious question that came in,” Scheana said. “Everyone on Instagram who’s sent in questions has asked if we got a chance to see your kids while in Australia. And I just wanna let you say whatever you wanna say because that question is not for me.”
Brock revealed he did not get a chance to see his children, who reside in Australia with their mom and stepdad. Although the personal trainer didn’t provide details, he described the situation as unfortunate and difficult, admitting he still had a lot to prove to his kids and their parents.
Brock Davies says he's working to build trust with his children and his ex
“I need to show them, keep turning up and show them that I am the dad that I want to be and that they want to be around,” he said. “So that’s first and foremost... We’re working on a healthier relationship, or a better relationship, with the kids’ mom and their stepdad. And the goal is to just be on time with my child support every month, make sure that payment goes across, and just continually turns up.”
Brock said he’s always thinking about his “little ones” and is eager to build a relationship with them once they’re ready. He explained that all he can do now is build their trust through his actions.
“It’s a tough one. I wish I could tell everybody like, ‘Yeah we’re going, we’re meeting up, we’re doing this,’ but it’s gonna take time,” he said. “We’re dealing with kids… There’s a whole bunch of things changing in their life and I don’t want to be another one in there. I think they have a loving dad, a loving half-sister, and a beautiful family. So, you know, right now that’s not their priority and I understand that.”
Brock Davies reflects on his personal growth
As Brock continued to speak about the relationship he became increasingly emotional, so much so that he agreed to “switch gears.” Scheana then decided to play a quick Q&A game; however, it was clear Brock’s mind was still on his children.
“Was it something I said that got you emotional?” Scheana asked.
“There is a side of me that just wants to fight hard,” he explained with tears. “But then there is another side that reminds me this is a tough balancing act… Just hearing you talk about it [is a reminder that] I have to keep doing what I am doing. I am happy with the changes I made in my life and I am really happy with that.”
