Caitlyn Jenner Had Skin Cancer Cut From Her Nose and Shared a Shocking Photo
The former Olympic athlete offered a public service announcement to followers.
Caitlyn Jenner has a public service announcement: "Always wear your sunblock." On March 20, the former pro athlete shared a candid photo of herself staring into the camera, with the tip of her nose looking noticeably raw and red. Her caption explained: "I recently had to get some sun damage removed from my nose."
Indeed, the Secrets of My Life author has spent ample time in the sun — both in her former career as a pro athlete, and in her leisure time. Jenner first discovered her talents as a runner during the track and field events she participated in as a youth; she's also taken part in multiple Olympic decathlons and enjoys tennis and golfing.
Jenner didn't mention any specific form of cancer in her caption. But, Yahoo Entertainment reports that the I Am Cait star's procedure removed basal cell carcinoma.
