The pregnant Real Housewives of Potomac alum looked red hot attending a red carpet event in D.C. in a body-hugging dress.
The Real Housewives of Potomac alum Candiace Dillard Bassett is in the second trimester of her first pregnancy and she's embracing this major life change, baby bump and all. And her baby bump finally made its red carpet debut on Tuesday, April 30. As seen in photos from the event, the mom-to-be could not look any happier or chicer.
Candiace took to the red carpet on Tuesday before hosting the annual GRAMMYs on the Hill event in Washington D.C. where "music creators and congressional members come together to celebrate progress in the music space, shed light on the issues the music community is currently facing, and advocate for real change," according to a press release.

It's only fitting for Candiace, who is a singer and has been recording new music, to host the event. She looked absolutely stunning in a bright red, one shoulder dress with a single elbow length glove attached to it. A thin rhinestone strap across the chest completed the look, making the dress look so glamorous. Candiace embraced her bump while walking on the red carpet with a giant smile across her face.

Candiace Dillard Bassett opens up about her pregnancy
Candiace announced in mid-April that she and husband, Chris Bassett, were expecting their first child together. "I'm about 13 weeks...so just about in the second trimester," Candiace told Entertainment Tonight at the time of her announcement. "It's been weird, but also very wonderful, I think, to kind of keep it to ourselves to this point."
In the weeks since, Candiace has shared more details about her pregnancy. In an Instagram Live on April 22, Candiace opened up about the struggles that she has been facing throughout her second pregnancy. This includes extreme nausea and feeling tired all the time.
"So I'll eat, not wanting to eat, but knowing if I don't eat, I'm about to be laid up," Candiace explained. "And then 30 minutes later, it's like that wasn't enough, we're nauseous again. And then a lot of days I don't want to eat but I have to. So I went from loving food, enjoying food — and sometimes I still do, but a lot of days, I don't want to but I have to."
Not to mention, she is exhausted. "I'm tired," she said. "I'm like, tired. And I was told, 'Oh, second trimester, you're going to get all this energy.' Um, where is it? Where is the energy?"
