Here’s How Candiace Dillard Basset Reacted After Getting Compared to Sutton Stracke

As fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac know, cast member Candiace Dillard Bassett has an iconic tendency to dry her tears with a folded tissue — and now it looks like another Housewife has picked up the signature habit.
On August 11, Candiace took to Instagram to share her response after a Twitter follower compared her crying to that of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Sutton Stracke. The meme captures a side-by-side of the two carefully wiping tears from their eyes alongside the caption, “The Potomac Effect.”
Candiace couldn’t help but chime in on the hilarious similarity between their style of crying. “Love me some Sutton,” she tweeted in response, also adding several laughing face emojis.
This isn’t the first time that Candiace has addressed her trademark method of blotting her tears. During a November appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show, Candiace spilled all of her folded tissue secrets to host Andy Cohen.
When asked, “How do you fold your napkins to blot your tears? I want specifics for the folding,” Candiace followed up with an expert demonstration, which you can follow along in the video, below.
