Congratulations are in order for Candiace Dillard Bassett! The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member shared some majorly exciting news with her Instagram followers in an August 5 post when she announced that she is returning to school. Candiace has officially been selected to complete the Executive MBA  program at the School of Business at Howard University this fall.

“ANNOUNCEMENT: I am honored to return home to #themecca @howard1867 for my Masters of Business Administration,” Candiace wrote. “The rich legacy that is Howard University poured into me once and shaped the woman I am today. I cannot wait to call myself a double amuna!!”

Candiace also shared a look at her Howard University acceptance letter, which you can see in the post, below.

Candiace completed her undergraduate degree at Howard University, and went on to work in the White House Offices of Public Engagement and International Affairs during Barack Obama’s presidency, and worked as a staffer during his 2012 re-election campaign.

Since graduating, the former Miss United States has stayed active in the Howard University community, and even returned to guest lecture in October 2019.

Candiace opened up about what an honor it was to return to her alma mater in an Instagram post, writing, “Let me tell you...when I entered this classroom years ago and sat in the front row under the sound of Dr. Carr’s voice, I NEVER thought one day I’d be back in this room TEACHING a class in collaboration with @rockthevote and Congressional Black Caucus PAC. It’s an honor to ignite the light and work for good on the grounds that made me who I am.”
