Carl Radke’s Mom Just Got Married: Read His Sweet Message to Her

Major congratulations are in order for Carl Radke’s mom! The Summer House cast member’s mother, Sharon, recently got married, and he had some lovely words to share with her to celebrate the day. 

In an August 2 Instagram post, Carl shared his excitement for his mom’s wedding with an adorable throwback photo of the mother-son duo wearing coordinating blue button-down shirts when he was just a little kid. 

“Mom, I’m so happy for you and Lou,” wrote Carl. “Congrats on starting this next chapter in your life. You deserve all the happiness and [love]. You were a beautiful bride before I came around and a beautiful bride today.” Of course, in typical Carl fashion, he also added the hashtags, “More love” and “More Sharon.” 

Scheana Shay’s mom, Erika van Olphen, left a comment to congratulate Carl’s mother, writing, “Wait what?! Your mama got married? Ahhh congrats to her!!” 

Carl shared that his parents were getting a divorce during Season 3, in an episode in which he discussed his revelation that his parents’ divorce had impacted him more than he had previously considered. In Season 4, after a date with his castmate and close friend Lindsay Hubbard, Carl realized that the commitment issues he was experiencing following the divorce were still seriously affecting him. 

“My parents’ divorce last year took a huge toll on me,” Carl explained in the video above. “That’s what makes me so cautious about getting into a long-term relationship with someone like Lindsay, who I care about deeply.” 

We’re so glad to hear that Carl and his mother are happy as she begins this new chapter.
