Ramona Reacts to Carole’s Departure from #RHONY

Carole Radziwill announced Wednesday that she's leaving The Real Housewives of New York City, and now she's left the Big Apple as well! But don't worry, it's not for good: the marathon runner is currently on a retreat to Aspen, Colorado, where she's hanging with friends and took a nature walk in 80-degree heat. She posted some scenes from her walk on her Instagram Stories, starting quizzically with a photo of a football goalpost before showing off some rocks, video of foliage and water (in which an off-camera friend can be heard saying, "Aspen tranquility"), and a picture of herself wearing a giant cowboy hat emoji while on a woodsy trail. If she was looking for something really different from the hot thunderstorms currently sweeping through NYC, she found it!

Carole confirmed that she will not return to RHONY next season in a statement to The Daily Dish on Wednesday.

"After six seasons on Bravo’s [RHONY], I have decided to return to what I do best —  journalism and producing," she wrote. "I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind. My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament," she said. "I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind. I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor, and a veracious accuracy. Next."

"I’m sad because I love Carole inside and out. I think she’s really warm, special, down-to-earth, truthful, giving, kind, supportive of women, genuine, smart, fabulous. I’m like, wow," Ramona Singer said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday night. "There’s gonna be a void."

Luckily, we still have plenty more Carole to come this season of RHONY; check out a sneak peek of next week's episode below, airing Wednesday at 9/8c.
