A godmother is a special person in any child's life. (Just ask Cinderella.) But, if your godmother is Dolly Parton ... well, that makes the whole thing even more special.
From the country crooner herself to Taylor Swift and even Macaulay Culkin, here are 14 celebrities that are quietly killing the godparent game.
1. Dolly Parton
As if it's not enough that Miley Cyrus has a famous dad and the world's most gorgeous (on-again) fiancé, the "Malibu" singer went and got the coolest godparent of all time: Dolly Parton. Miley told Cosmopolitan that she's learned a lot from: "watching the way [Dolly] treats people with love and respect. Always a reminder to me and my family of what is important. Never let success change your heart."
The two singers have also teamed up on duets, most recently lending their shared vocals to Miley's sweet song "Rainbowland."
2. Taylor Swift
Speaking of songstresses who casually godparent on the side, T-Swift is godmother to Jaime King's son Leo Thames Newman. Coolest name ever, coolest godmom ever — this kid has it made in the shade. Swift has been by the little guy's side since he was just a few minutes old, too. Though he's now healthy (phew!), Leo had a congenital heart defect when he was born, and had to undergo surgery. The Reputation singer was right there in the ICU to support Leo and his mom.
3. Jessica Alba
It's good to be Jaime King's son. The model's other kid, James, claims Jessica Alba as his godmother. Just imagine all the Honest swag this little one gets!
4. Macaulay Culkin
In facts that continue to blow our mind no matter how long we've known them, the Home Alone legend is the godfather to Michael Jackson's 19-year-old daughter Paris and her brother Prince, who's 20.
And, Macaulay is not a regular godfather — he's a cool godfather. The actor recently got matching tattoos with Paris. The two have also been known to set serious Easter goals.
5. Elizabeth Taylor
The King of Pop didn't just choose one famous godparent for his little ones. The legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor was Paris and Prince's godmother.
6. Michael Jackson
The music legend was happy to repay the favor when it came to serving as a godparent for his pals. Jackson was the godfather for Sofia Richie, Lionel Richie's 19-year-old daughter. We wonder what Richie's godfather would have to say about her latest rumored romance — we already know what her pops thinks!
When you're Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, you've got options when it comes to godparents. So, it makes sense that the former star couple chose Bono to be the godfather of their twins, Knox and Vivienne.
8. Busy Philipps
Busy Phillips and Michelle Williams are the best of friends, so it's certainly not a stretch that Busy would be the godmother for Williams' daughter with Heath Ledger, Matilda Ledger. Does that mean that Philipps lends her legendary cake-baking skills to Matilda's birthday bashes?
9. Jake Gyllenhaal
This one also makes sense — and makes us tear up. Ledger's Brokeback Mountain co-star is Matilda's godfather.
10. Jamie Lee Curtis
Gyllenhaal also lucked out in the godparent department! Who else gets to say his godmother starred in Freaky Friday alongside Lindsay Lohan?
11. Lady Gaga
When you're Elton John's sons Zachary and Elijah, you get to call your godmother "Mother Monster." We're experiencing peak jealousy levels.
12. Elton John
John is happy to serve as a godparent himself. He assumed the role for his pals Victoria and David Beckham, and is the proud godfather to Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham.
13. Elizabeth Hurley
And in case you're wondering who the Beckham boys' godmother is, don't worry: she's equally fab. It's Elizabeth Hurley, people!
14. Drew Barrymore
A rock-and-roll heiress deserves a rock-and-roll godmother. Lucky for Frances Bean Cobain, Drew Barrymore is hers.
