What Has Cindy Barshop Been Up to Since the Real Housewives of New York City?

The #RHONY alum's new business venture is sure to raise some eyebrows.

By Laura Rosenfeld

There were a lot of unforgettable moments during Season 4 of The Real Housewives of New York City, and Cindy Barshop was responsible for many of them. The founder and owner of Completely Bare spas and hair removal products taught us that Quogue, New York is the Hamptons' best-kept secret, even if her castmates took some convincing, and you should never steal her hangers during a girls' trip if you know what's good for you.

The one thing that we'll always remember about Cindy is her tenacity and drive to succeed, whether it was in running her company, which was relaunched as Spruce & Bond in 2014 with new management, or raising her twin daughters Jesse and Zoe. These days, Cindy definitely still has that attitude, and she's using it in a brand-new business venture. "I have a new spot called the VSpot Medi-Spa, which [performs] natural vaginal rejuvenation," Cindy told The Daily Dish at the premiere party for Season 8 of RHONY last week. "My spa is all women. It's about women [empowerment] and things like that."

The spa uses the non-surgical FemiLift Laser to help women with incontinence, dryness, looseness, and a lack of sexual desire, according to its website. "It used to be like a taboo subject and right now, it's not about the man; it's about empowering women to take control of their bodies and their sexual health. And it's not to make it look different; it's to make you feel better," Cindy said. "So it's an unbelievable treatment, it's an unbelievable wave that's going on. The FDA just approved the Viagra for women. So I think it's about women's sexual health and women are taking control now."

Cindy's twin daughters are also still keeping her busy these days. "Everything's good. My kids are fabulous," she told The Daily Dish. "They're six, they're happy, and they're loving life."

Though Cindy is no longer on RHONY, she's still having some drama with cast member Sonja Morgan. "I invited her in to the spa — well, my publicist did — and she says she's coming in, and then she did a ghost on me, didn't show up," Cindy said.

Cindy also told The New York Daily News that she found out Sonja went to a different vaginal rejuvenation spa when the supertease for Season 8 of RHONY hit the Internet (clip below). Though she doesn't know if Sonja visited the other facility before or after her invitation, Cindy said in the interview that she is still "offended" that she didn't come in.

The #RHONY 'Wives Are Back!

But Cindy isn't feuding with the entire RHONY cast. In fact, it's quite the contrary. "I'm really good friends with [Julianne "Jules" Wainstein], so I'm here to support her. I'm very happy for her. And hopefully, everything's gonna go great. I know her kids. Our kids went to school together," Cindy told The Daily Dish. "And Dorinda [Medley], I've gotten to know, and she's great. Luann [de Lesseps] and I have reconnected, so I'm all happy about that."

Cindy said she has high hopes for Jules and her fellow New Yorkers this season. "You know what? I was so happy for her [to join RHONY] because Jules is a real housewife. When she has a party, it's to the top. And she does a performance, and that's naturally what she does," she said. "So I think it's going to be an awesome season. I'm psyched for everybody."
