Connie Britton Will Play Faye Resnick in O.J. Simpson Series
Ryan Murphy shares details of his forthcoming mini-series.
Faye Resnick may not be a star on Bravo's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills these days, but you'll be able to catch her on a small screen again. Sort of.
Glee creator Ryan Murphy revealed details of his upcoming O.J. Simpson movie—and he's shared that Connie Britton has been cast to play the role of Faye Resnick in the saga. The 10-episode miniseries will be broadcast on FX.
For those who might not remember, Faye was friends with Nicole Brown Simpson, whom O.J. was accused of murdering. And Faye was involved in the ongoing trial, which led to O.J.'s acquittal in 1995. After the case, Faye appeared on television to discuss it and also wrote a book titled Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted.
"Excited to announce my friend Connie Britton will play Faye Resnick in the upcoming FX miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson," he tweeted Monday. Variety reports that John Travolta will play Simpson attorney Robert Shapiro, David Schwimmer will play Robert Kardashian, and Courtney Vance will play Johnnie Cochran. Sarah Paulson has been cast as prosecutor Marcia Clark and Cuba Gooding Jr. will play O.J. Simpson.
