Countess LuAnn and Bethenny Clear the Air

The two address their past disagreements on Bethenny's talk show.

By Hilary Hughes

Bethenny Frankel and LuAnn de Lesseps didn't have the easiest go at a friendship while they were both on The Real Housewives of New York City, but things aren't always what they seem on television—and that's exactly the point the two agreed on when the Countess stopped by Bethenny: No Limits today.

How to Watch

Back when Bethenny was still on the show, tensions arose when LuAnn, who presented herself as the queen of All Things Etiquette, took issue with the way Bethenny was approaching her dating life: out in the open. For Bethenny, that prevented their friendship from developing on and off camera.

Both Bethenny and LuAnn agreed that reality TV is a place where the "skeletons in your closet" can come out. "When you're going through rough stuff, it's hard to do a show like this, because, you know, you have, you know, be in that kind of space, in a good space...the show is about the good and bad." "And the ugly!" Bethenny adds.

LuAnn went on to say that she refrained from discussing her divorce to her ex-husband—who she's hinted at reconciling with—and adds that not everyone feels compelled to "lay out all [their] laundry" for the cameras.

What do you think of LuAnn and Bethenny's catch-up sesh? Is LuAnn's private approach to reality TV working for her? Tell us in the comments.
