So, It Turns Out That Craig Conover Never Asked Paige DeSorbo to Be His Girlfriend
Plus, find out the "ick" of Craig's that was almost a dealbreaker for Paige.
Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover may be in a serious relationship now, but if you had to ask how it came to be — more specifically, when the two actually became boyfriend and girlfriend — you wouldn't exactly get a solid answer.
The Summer House cast member revealed as much during an appearance on Craig and Austen Kroll's podcast Pillows and Beer. Recalling a conversation she and Craig recently had, Paige explained, "I said, 'It's so hard for guys to ask someone to be their girlfriend. That must be so nerve-wracking. What do you say when you're like, 'Hey, will you be my girlfriend?'"
Craig's response? Much to Paige's surprise, the Southern Charm cast member apparently replied, "I've never done it."
"I was like 'Wait, what?'" Paige continued. "Then I was thinking back, no he didn't."
She joked that she was "pissed," adding, "I've been hoodwinked." Craig, however, sees things differently.
"I told you you were my girlfriend," he said. "Once you hang out long enough, you just know."
Austen — who's notorious for having a complicated love life — disagreed. "Not the f--king case, pal," he chimed in. "'Cause that's bit me in the ass just recently!"
The trio went on to discuss dating "icks," and it turned out that Craig actually gave Paige one early on in their relationship. "When Craig first busted out flip flops, I was like, "Ooh...'" she said with a laugh. "Now I'm just like, that's one of those icks that has turned into just an annoyance that I live with."
