Following a tense season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta for her marriage of nearly six years to Peter Thomas, Cynthia Bailey has confirmed to The Daily Dish that she and her husband are separated. "Peter and I are separated. He lives in Charlotte, and I live in Atlanta," Cynthia told The Daily Dish.

Cynthia said she and Peter are now trying to figure out what's next for their relationship. "I am definitely taking some time to myself to figure out how I want to move forward. I don't want to rush into anything, so I think this time apart is good for us," Cynthia told The Daily Dish. "And I think the space apart, I think he can appreciate it as well. I think it gives people time to think and process and just move forward in a way that really is healthy for everyone involved."

We've had an intimate look at Cynthia and Peter's marriage — the good and the bad — on RHOA ever since the couple tied the knot in Season 3, but their relationship was put to the test like never before last season, which began with the fallout from a video showing Peter speaking closely with a woman surfacing online. But after having a few emotional discussions, Cynthia and Peter decided to give their relationship another shot, and it seemed like they had gotten it back on track with romantic gestures sprinkled throughout the season, such as a dinner, vacation to Jamaica, and at-home massage.

Unfortunately, by the time the RHOA Season 8 reunion rolled around months later, Cynthia and Peter's relationship seemed to be strained once again. Host Andy Cohen even remarked that their time spent living apart for their careers made it seem like they were already separated. "Jamaica was fun. We had a good time together. Just because we are having issues don't mean we can't have a good time together," Cynthia previously told The Daily Dish after last season's RHOA reunion aired. "So Jamaica was good, but it didn't change issues that we were still dealing with."

Cynthia said she doesn't yet know what the future holds for her and Peter, but she is confident that he will still be in her life. "Regardless of where I am with Peter, he is my husband. I will always love him, and I will always support him. And I believe he feels the same about me," Cynthia recently told The Daily Dish. "Whether or not we decide to stay married or not, that's something that we have to decide soon. But right now, I'm enjoying the time apart, taking time for myself."
