Cynthia Bailey Says Her Marriage Is "Not in a Great Place"
The #RHOA model revealed what the future holds for her and hubby Peter Thomas.
This season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has put Cynthia Bailey's marriage to Peter Thomas to the test like no other. Though it seemed like Peter's video controversy threatened to tear their marriage apart, the couples trip to Jamaica and a romantic massage (clip above) ended Season 8 of RHOA on a high note for the couple.
However, as the teaser clip for Part 2 of the RHOA reunion airing Sunday, March 27 at 8/7c shows, Peter's fidelity to Cynthia will come into question once again. So now that it's been a month since the Season 8 reunion was filmed, how are Cynthia and Peter doing these days? "At the finale, what you guys saw, we were definitely at a better place. I will say that Peter and I are not in a great place right now," Cynthia called in to Reality Checked with Amy Phillips on Radio Andy Tuesday.
The RHOA model explained that having her marriage play out on a reality TV show hasn't helped their relationship. "We've been married five years. We've been together for eight. We're the only couple on The Real Housewives of Atlanta that was actually married on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. We've never been married outside of the show, and I don't think that has helped us a lot," she said. "Maybe if we were married three years before we got on the show, that would've been better. I just have nothing to compare my marriage to outside of being on the show. It's just been difficult. I mean, the wedding was difficult. Everything about our marriage has been difficult."
Now Cynthia isn't really sure where her marriage is going to go from here. "I never said that we were perfect. I don't know what's gonna happen. I usually have all the answers for all the questions, but when it comes to my marriage, I just don't know right now," she said. "I just know that it's not good right now."
Peter hasn't publicly responded to Cynthia's comments as of yet, but he did caption a photo on Instagram Tuesday with, "Hard day, long day, I hope the night is better. CLUB ONE in 23 days. Never stop, won't stop, family first."
