Dancing with the Stars' Star-Studded New Cast Features 10 Athletes — Including 2 Housewives Superfans
Tonya Harding, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Adam Rippon will all dance their way to the top this season.
Prepare to do a happy dance: The newest Dancing with the Stars: Athletes cast has been revealed! On April 13, the show released the names of the 10 pros who will compete in its upcoming season — and the cast is, indeed, star-studded. (OK, athlete-studded ... but you get the drift.)
As shown during a big reveal on Good Morning America, here are the competitors who made the list: basketball pro Kareem Abdul-Jabbar; World Series champ Johnny Damon; figure-skating legends Tonya Harding, Mirai Nagasu, and Adam Rippon; snowboarder Jamie Anderson; medal-winning Luger Chris Mazder; Pro Bowl cornerback Joshua R. Norman; softball pitcher Jennie Finch; and Notre Dame basketball player Arike Ogunbowale.
We're a huge fan of all these pros, but we have a soft spot for two of these competitors. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has our heart because he is, in a way, just like us. The basketball star, you see, has admitted that he's a huge Real Housewives fan, and even wrote a piece for the Huffington Post titled: "How The Housewives Have Made America Better."
We'll also be cheering on Adam Rippon. The Olympic figure skater and Bravo fan once tweeted: "My [tagline] would be: 'My blades are sharp, but my tongue is sharper.' So basically, I'm ready whenever [Andy Cohen] is."
Perhaps these two can get some tips on competing in DWTS from Erika Girardi, Lisa Rinna, or Lisa Vanderpump?
