The Real Housewives of Dallas’ D’Andra Simmons Defends Her Work History
The RHOD entrepreneur’s résumé includes jobs with two former presidents.
D'Andra Simmons has shown the deterioration of the business relationship between her and her mother on The Real Housewives of Dallas, which has opened her up to criticism from others on how she is now handling the next phase of her career. But D'Andra asserted during Tuesday night's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she has a more than solid work history, including two stints working for the previous occupants of the White House, which has hopefully prepared her for what's to come.
"I've been working since I was 14," she shared in the Bravo Clubhouse. "And I've had some [serious] jobs, I worked for President [George W.] Bush, I've worked in major corporate jobs ... people know that my background is in politics. My degree is in political science and government. I was going to be a lawyer and I decided that it wasn't my thing, but I love government, I stayed in that, I've always worked. I've been working my entire life and mostly working in corporate jobs."
She also revealed that before she worked for George W. Bush in a communications position in the nuclear waste division of the Department of Energy, she worked as an intern for the 41st president, George W. Bush's father, George H.W. Bush.
