David Parnes on Fredrik Eklund’s Move to L.A.: “There Is Definitely Confrontation”
Things get “heated” between the two Million Dollar Listing agents this season.
Following his recent move to the West Coast, former New Yorker Fredrik Eklund seems to have adapted to the California lifestyle pretty quickly. But his entrance into the Los Angeles real estate scene wasn’t exactly smooth, according to fellow super agent David Parnes.
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles cast member recently opened up about the impact of Fredrik’s arrival, revealing that viewers can expect some tense moments between the two, along with David’s real estate partner James Harris, on the show’s latest season.
“I mean, look, Fredrik is officially in L.A. and he means business,” David told BravoTV.com. “James and I do have a rather heated exchange with him. I don’t want to give too much away, but there is definitely confrontation between the Brits and Fredrik this coming season.”
Fredrik’s move isn’t the only factor throwing the cast for a loop this season, however. Between a rapidly changing market and the coronavirus pandemic, David says all of the agents had their fair share of acclimating to do.
“The way I look at it this coming season is all about adapting,” he said. “The market was already shifting and changing throughout last year, so there is a lot of adapting and just realizing that it doesn't always work out.”
He went on to add, “I think this season is so raw and real it just shows the real difficulties and the real situations of how things just don't always work out and how we cope with that. I think that’s really, really, really important.”
