Eileen Davidson has been hard at work on The Young and the Restless this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and that hard work has paid off. She's a part of the show that has scored more nominations than any other program in this year's Daytime Emmy nominations with 27 nods in total, Variety reports. They include Outstanding Drama Series, Oustanding Drama Series Writing Team, Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team, and the major drama acting categories.
Though Eileen had been selected as one of 10 prospective contenders for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award for her turn as Ashley Abbott when the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced its pre-nomination selections in January, she was ultimately not voted one of the nominees in that category. However, her Young and the Restless co-star Tracey E. Bregman did receive a nod in that same category.
But at least Eileen already knows the sweet smell of success. She took home the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2014 for her portrayal of Kristen DiMera in Days of Our Lives. Her effervescent acceptance speech (clip below) is always worth another look.
You can check out the full list of Daytime Emmy nominees here. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony for the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday, May 1 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in Los Angeles.
