Craig Conover Shocks Paige DeSorbo with His New Career Move: "That Is the Dumbest Decision"

Craig Conover is a pillow magnate, a podcast co-host, an OG cast member on Bravo's Southern Charm, and... a soccer team owner?!

During the Summer House Season 8 premiere, which aired on February 22, Craig called his girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, to talk about his latest career move, which apparently involves both a racehorse and an English soccer team. Get a recap on what he shared by scrolling below.

Does Craig Conover own a racehorse?

While the Summer House crew was enjoying some downtime, Paige decided to Facetime her boyfriend. The two discussed their upcoming trip to Saratoga to enjoy the horse races. "Saratoga's gonna be a little more exciting for us this year," Craig told the fashion content creator and podcast co-host. "[Be]cause I'm buying a racehorse."

Craig may have been expecting some excitement from Paige regarding his announcement, but that's not what he got. 

"No, you're not. Craig, no you're not," she responded. "OK, I'm just gonna say this now — that is the dumbest decision I've ever heard you tell me. That's dumber than the soccer team, that's dumber than the restaurant. You're going to lose all of your money, and I'm not marrying a broke man."

Does Craig Conover own a soccer team with Shep Rose?

As Paige explained in an interview on the episode, the Charleston resident has expressed a desire to buy a soccer team. 

"A couple [of] weeks ago, he told me he was buying a soccer team in London. The man watched [Welcome to] Wrexham one time, now, all of a sudden, he's Ryan Reynolds," she explained in an interview on the episode. "And I'm over here trying to be my best Blake Lively, but I have concerns."

Back in October 2023, Craig's Southern Charm castmate, Shep Rose, teased more about the potential purchase of a soccer team during an exclusive chat with The Daily Dish.

"I may be involved in the purchase of a sports team in Europe... That'll be hilarious and fun. I don't invest for hilarity," he joked. "That's probably a bad idea. But, if it happens, I'm very much looking forward to it. And Craig might be involved, too."
