Mads Herrera and Alex Propson Reveal if They Hooked Up After the Charter Season

Mads Herrera has expressed on more than one occasion that she wishes she’d spent her time aboard Parsifal III pursuing her connection with Alex Propson rather than hooking up with Gary King, so naturally, some fans have been wondering if she and Alex were able to reignite their spark once filming on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 came to an end.

Did Mads Herrera and Alex Propson see each other after filming wrapped?
Yes. As Mads told reunion host Andy Cohen, “Yeah, we’ve hung out here and there.”
Alex added that there have indeed “been instances,” which prompted Andy to ask for more context. Alex explained, “I think after the show, we explored it a little bit to see if it was something, you know, worth continuing on with.”
Are Mads Herrera and Alex Propson dating?
No. Elaborating on their time together post-filming, Alex said, “We both stay very busy. Geographically we’re close, and as friends now, we stay very close.”
Alex also noted that he and Mads aren’t the only Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 crew members who remain that way. Shouting out fellow deckhand Chase Lemacks, chef Ileisha Dell, and stew Lucy Edmunds, he said, “We’ve been on some trips together, and we hang out together and we talk weekly. I think we’re all in a really good place and happy with how we stand, the way it is.”
Added Mads, “I think it’s just really important, like it’s important to all of us, to stay really good friends. And I think that’s what outshines everything, and so that’s what it is.”
Plus, Alex may or may not have a girlfriend. As Andy pressed him and Mads to reveal if they’re “friends with benefits” rather than just friends, Mads responded, “He has a—” before cutting herself off and noting, “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that.”
Andy then asked Alex himself if he has a girlfriend, only for him to unenthusiastically answer, “Uh, yeah.”
“Well, don’t sound too excited about it,” Andy quipped, prompting Alex to briefly elaborate. “Well,” he said, “technically not right now. But I’m hopeful.”
