Dina Manzo and David Cantin recently spent some time in Italy on what The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum described as a life-changing trip to Capri and in the afterglow of the trip, she shed some more light on her husband's current health situation after a previous battle with leukemia.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/9c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

"I made a list, I wrapped it around my rose quartz and prayed for my Scorpio. You’re everything I prayed for and more. I love you [Dave]. Happy Birthday. Here’s to a lifetime of HAPPY HEALTHY Birthday celebrations together. #40andLeukemiaFREE," she wrote on Instagram.

David was diagnosed with leukemia in 2011. He discussed what that time in his life was like in an emotional Instagram, which included a special shout-out to Dina, whom he married in 2017: "I am incredibly blessed to have such an amazing wife Dina that encourages me to fight through the tough times and to celebrate throughout the good times. There is no better feeling than to have a life partner."

The businessman also wrote, "Today I turn 40. And as I reflect on the last four decades, and all the experiences throughout my journey of life, I am so grateful to be where I am today. Unfortunately, we all have to face particular challenges in life, but it’s not always the challenge that we look to remember, but instead, it's the resilience to power through onto the other side. Eight years ago, I remembered that morning lying in bed with my 4-month-old son and 18-month-old daughter staring into their smiling, joyful faces only to learn hours later that I would be diagnosed with Leukemia. As it's impossible to prepare yourself for such horrific news, I knew that I was not ready to leave, and instead, I would conquer and destroy this disease. Today I am thankful for my incredible DCG team that works tirelessly so we can give back. I will not stop until one day; no child ever has to hear those words 'you have cancer.'"

He continued, "My children inspire some of my greatest motivation. They have all taught me so many lessons in life, and have allowed me to value the fantastic feeling of being a father and stepfather. I am also thankful for some of the most incredible mentors throughout my life. Because of them, I am a better entrepreneur, husband, father, and friend. I write this message for those that at one time of their life might’ve been at the bottom, but know that anyone can climb to the top. You can achieve anything you want in life & business, and even what most think to be impossible if you focus and always enter into a situation with a positive state of mind."

Dina, who now lives on the West Coastcommented, "I’m so proud of you. I love you more than words can say."

David was also feeling the love from Teresa Giudice, who left a comment on Instagram: “Happy Birthday Dave I loved reading what you wrote. Thank you for sharing that with us, so happy for you and Dina. Love you both. Have the best birthday wish. I was there to celebrate with you guys."

Weeks ago, Dina opened up about how their trip to Italy was an incredible journey. "I had no idea I would have the reaction I did to this region of Italy. The second I landed I felt like I was finally home. I cried for the first hour...and many moments after. I text [two] of my sisters who have visited. They had the same story. The energy of our ancestors who walked this land before us is all around me. Faces I’ve never seen are so familiar. People we’ve met along the way are now extended family. I will be back, and back again. Thank you [J.K. Place, Capri] for the warm hospitality, [Amazing Capri Tour] for the spectacular day at sea and [Pasquale D'Ambrosio] for Raviolis that literally brought tears to my eyes. Ti amo [heart emoji]."
