Very few people will probably forget where they were during the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse. And that is definitely the case for DNCE, who spent the buzzy moment performing aboard a cruise ship. But it's wasn't just any performance -- they were joined by Bonnie Tyler and they all took to the stage to play her iconic hit “Total Eclipse of the Heart." (Um, get it?!)

It went down on Monday (August 21) on the Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas during the Total Eclipse Cruise -- and you can bet the Joe Jonas-fronted group was excited about the chance to perform "Total Eclipse" on the Total Eclipse.

"With any performance we do we just try to have as much fun as possible. [We were] really excited for this one!" they shared with The Daily Dish via email, ahead of the show. "We performed on a Royal Caribbean ship last year which was amazing. They came to us with the opportunity to perform during the solar eclipse with Bonnie Tyler and we couldn't say no!"

The "Cake By the Ocean" group noted that there really was no better way to spend this Solar Eclipse, you know, like for obvious reasons. "It's a legendary song and obviously perfect for this occasion," they explained. So, with the performance behind them, the foursome notes this might be one that's hard to outdo... ever. "We try to make every show better than the next," they said. "It's going to be tough to top this one though!"
