Kenya Moore Hints That She Wants to Have More Children
The RHOA mom says she has her "fingers crossed" for the future.
Days after turning 49, Kenya Moore is looking forward to the future. Despite splitting from husband Marc Daly in September, The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member says she currently feels “optimistic” about saving her marriage and is even considering having more kids.
The Atlanta mom opened up about her breakup from Marc in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, revealing that an argument between the couple ultimately led to the decision to take time apart. “We had a fight and, instead of giving that time to breathe and figure things out after that, you know, a decision was made," she said. "Independent of me.”
Kenya who gave birth to daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly in 2018, also said that the stress of welcoming a baby into the family had a significant impact on their relationship.”Once the baby came, things just, you know -- the stress of life made our relationship deteriorate, and we couldn’t find our way back to it," she said. "But all in all, I still think that a rash decision was made.”
Though the two have had a tumultuous year, Kenya and Marc have remained amicable co-parents to one-year-old Brooklyn, even enjoying some quality family time together in New York last month.
And Kenya says their relationship is continuing to thrive. “We are still apart, but we are better friends now than we have been in a very long time," she explained. "We're co-parenting great. We are going to be going to counseling soon. So, I'm optimistic.”
Kenya credits daughter Brooklyn for pushing her to reprioritize and fight for her marriage. "[Being a mom] makes you look at you differently, and I just have a different appreciation for life and all things that I’m living for," she said. "That is my legacy, how I raise this child, how we raise Brooklyn."
Throughout their marriage, Kenya and Marc split their time between Atlanta and New York, where Marc works and currently lives. But the RHOA mom says the family will remain in the South full time, should they decide to reconcile. And though the two are still working on mending their relationship, Kenya remains hopeful about their future and says she is open to the possibility of having more children.
"I see Brooklyn, and she is the life of the party," she stated. "We are on the plane and she is walking down the aisle, 'Hi, hi , hi...' Like, it's all about her, she's just hosting everyone on the plane. So that's interesting to see her be so outgoing and special, and she loves people and she loves other little kids, and I would like to see her with a playmate growing up. I think she will be a great big sister to someone and... I don’t know, fingers crossed."
Kenya and Marc will continue to confront their relationship issues on this season of RHOA, airing Sundays at 8/7c. Watch a preview, below.
